About
Mark has been providing Counselling Services since 1995. He has a Masters Degree in Mental Health Counselling and memberships with both the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association and the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors since 2001. Mark has joined the Association of Counselling Therapists of Alberta that is expected to be proclaimed as the new Alberta College of Counselling Therapists sometime in fall 2020 or Spring 2021.
Mark has been married for over 25 years and is the father of three adult children.
Mark is qualified to provide help with the variety of problems that cause people to seek out a Psychotherapist, as well, he has had extensive training and experience in the areas of:
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
- Dialectial Bebavioural Therapy
- Sexual Addiction
- Eating Disorders
- EMDR and Somatic Experiencing
- Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy
Mark is currently practicing online and phone-based psychotherapy. In the near future Mark will be opening an office in the South East area of Calgary. Mark has also worked for many community agencies like Alcohol & Drug Treatment Centers, Family Therapy Centers, Problem Gambling Assistance and has worked in Psychiatric inpatient care.
Mark enjoys working with the whole host of reasons people seek out a therapist. He reports that counselling and psychotherapy are an energizing and rewarding profession.
